Stress & burnout Therapy
When you're tired of running on empty
You can be capable, responsible, and good at handling things while still feeling completely exhausted.
Maybe you've gotten used to being stressed. You're getting through work, family responsibilities, relationships, and everything else on your plate, but you're running out of room for yourself.
You might not even know when stress stopped feeling temporary and started feeling like your normal.
When stress becomes your everyday
Stress doesn't always look like a complete breakdown.
Sometimes it looks like:
Feeling constantly overwhelmed
Being more irritable or easily frustrated
Having trouble relaxing, even when you have time to
Feeling mentally exhausted before the day is over
Struggling to focus or make decisions
Feeling like you're always behind
Having little energy left for the things you actually enjoy
You may still be getting everything done.
That doesn't mean you're doing okay.
Burnout is more than being tired
Burnout can happen when you've been carrying too much for too long without enough time or space to recover.
You might find yourself going through the motions, feeling disconnected, or wondering why things that used to feel manageable suddenly feel impossible.
Sometimes the pressure comes from work. Sometimes it's motherhood, relationships, caregiving, or simply feeling responsible for everyone and everything.
And sometimes it's a combination of all of it.
You don't have to earn rest
When you're used to taking care of everyone else, slowing down can feel uncomfortable.
You might tell yourself you'll rest when things calm down, when you finish your to-do list, or when everyone else is taken care of.
But there is always something else.
Therapy can be a place to look at the expectations you're carrying and figure out what needs to change before you reach complete exhaustion.
You can be capable and still need support
You don't have to be falling apart to benefit from therapy.
You can be functioning, showing up, and still feel like you're barely keeping everything together.
Maybe you're ready to understand why you're so overwhelmed. Maybe you want to stop constantly feeling like you're behind. Or maybe you simply want some space to think about what you need.
Therapy gives you that space.
What therapy can look like
Our work together is collaborative and practical. We'll look at what's contributing to your stress and burnout while finding ways to make things feel more manageable.
Depending on what you need, we might work on boundaries, patterns of thinking, coping strategies, self-expectations, or making room for your own needs.
The goal isn't to help you become better at tolerating an unsustainable life.
It's to help you figure out what needs to change.
